The Department of Radiation Oncology at White Plains Hospital’s Center for Cancer Care combines the most advanced tools and technology available anywhere in the fight against cancer, in a comfortable, personal environment and with expert staff who have trained at some of the finest teaching hospitals in the United States.
The department’s leading-edge technology includes the Varian® EDGE™ and TrueBeam linear accelerators, which allow our radiation oncologists to offer patients the full array of advanced radiotherapy treatment options, including, but not limited to:
- Stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT), also known as stereotactic ablative radiotherapy (SABR)

Within the Department of Radiation Oncology, the Center for Radiosurgery offers multidisciplinary collaboration between radiation oncologists and surgical specialists. Patients have access to the most sophisticated radiosurgical treatment options. Radiation oncology can be used alone or in conjunction with other treatments, such as surgery or chemotherapy.
