About
Dr. Marc Waase is a board-certified cardiac electrophysiologist and Director of Cardiogenetics practicing at the White Plains Hospital Center for Advanced Medicine & Surgery. He specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular disease, atrial fibrillation, bradycardia (heart beating too slowly) and tachycardia (heart beating too quickly), among other conditions.
Having earned his medical degree from Weill Cornell Medical College, Dr. Waase completed his internship and residency in internal medicine, followed by fellowships in cardiology and electrophysiology, all at Columbia University. He also holds a Ph.D. in Biochemical Genetics and Metabolism from Rockefeller University.
His experience also includes co-chairing the cardiogenetic clinic at Columbia, and serving as an assistant professor in medicine, cardiology and electrophysiology at its College of Physicians and Surgeons.
Dr. Waase authored a chapter in the book Sports Cardiology: Care of the Athletic Heart from the Clinic to the Sidelines, published in 2021. He has also co-authored articles in such peer-reviewed publications as The Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA), The Journal of Cardiovascular Electrophysiology; Circulation: Cardiovascular Quality Outcomes; and Indian Pacing and Electrophysiology Journal. He has served on the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) committee, setting standards for the field of Electrophysiology.
