About

Dr. Berzofsky received a Master's in Health Sciences in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from The Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health in Baltimore. He then matriculated from New York Medical College in Valhalla, where he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. Dr. Berzofsky completed a general surgery internship at Saint Vincent's Catholic Medical Center in New York and an Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery Residency at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary in New York, where he furthered his interest in laryngology through ongoing research in laryngeal nerve injury and reinnervation.

While at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary, Dr. Berzofsky was the administrative chief resident and a recipient of several accolades, including the Turner Award for Excellence in All Aspects of Residency and the Resident Teaching Award. He completed a fellowship in laryngology with Dr. Gayle Woodson, a pioneer in the field, at Southern Illinois University, where he was given the Faculty Teach Award.
